About Chop Shop

The vision of FIRST Robotics Competition Team Chop Shop 166 is to build a team based on trust, respect, and friendship. The team is dedicated to inspiring others through building an outstanding robot with an amazing amount of teamwork and professionalism. The robots that we build each year are entirely student created, with mentor guidance and teaching, but the responsibility of building, wiring, and programming falling on students. In addition to Software and Mechanical Subteams, our team also has a Marketing Subteam, which has the responsibility of creating the Chairman's submission, and a Media Subteam that takes care of the website, and creates animations for the Safety Animation Competition and the Underground Society of Animators Competition. Over the course of training, build season, and competition season, our members form lasting bonds of friendship and learn practical skills for college and beyond. We are proud to call Chop Shop 166 not only our team, but our family.
